I found out that my driver's license has been suspended. That's right, my driving privileges have been taken away from me.
You may wonder, why?
Let me explain ...
My son operates a motor vehicle that's registered in my name. He got a parking ticket that he neglected to pay.
Since the car is in my name, my driver's license was suspended.
Now he has since paid the fine to the municipality, but a trip to Trenton is next on the agenda during which he will have to pay $100 at the Motor Vehicle Commission offices in order to have my suspension revoked.
People who run other people over with their vehicles should have their licenses suspended. People who drive drunk should lose their driving privileges. I find it a bit excessive, however, that parking tickets should garner suspension.
If it's just a money making gimmick, so be it. But license suspension?

Look at the bright side. NYC refrains from such a draconian approach to enforcing the laws of the road. But isn't it obvious how such liberalism trickles down to effect the overall quality of life.
Re: your driving privileges being suspended. I hate that word: privilege. It's like when I've been to court and the general instruction was that all hats were to be removed. What?!? wearing a hat is a privilege, too.
This is why down deep I am a nihilist.
Oh!?! Society has decided to afford me certain privileges.
Society? Fuck you all!
