Hoof in Mouth Disease

It's been a couple of years since anything Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show actually came to our attention.

You may have heard that he said some very unfortunate things the other day concerning women and birth control. In particular, he singled out a Georgetown University student named Sandra Fluke who appeared before Congress advocating for the availability of birth control.

What Rush said was (and we're paraphrasing here) that if women want the government to pay for their birth control they should put their sex videos on the internet. He further called Ms. Fluke a slut.

Well, it looks as if all the sponsors of his radio show are bailing out while they still can. As of this writing seven advertisers have leaped off the sinking ship.

Limbaugh offered Ms. Fluke a half-assed apology wherein he apologized for insulting word choices in an attempt to be humorous. Really, Rush? We think you wouldn't know humor if it bit you on your fat ass. Perhaps that's insulting to you. We can only hope.

Rush to Justice

I totally understand about freedom of speech, but as we all should know it doesn't mean you can say any stupid thing that happens to float through what passes for a brain in your head.

Take Rush Limbaugh for instance. Please. And fill his fat face with a bucket of OxyContin.

Here are a couple of the stupid things he's said in the last week:

"Guess what? Faisal Shahzad is a registered Democrat. I wonder if his SUV had an Obama sticker on it." --Rush Limbaugh, lying about the failed Times Square car bomber, who is not registered to vote, May 4, 2010.

"What better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plans, than by blowing up a rig? I'm just noting the timing, here." --suggesting that "environmentalist whackos" deliberately blew up the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico that created one of the biggest environmental disasters in U.S. history to stop offshore oil drilling, April 29, 2010.

What alarms me most is that the mentally defective people who listen to him actually believe what he's saying to be true. Short of murder, is there no way to shut him the hell up?

Rush Rushed to Hospital

Loud mouthed radio person Rush Limbaugh was taken to a Honolulu hospital in serious condition Wednesday night.

Interestingly enough, President Obama and Speaker of the House Pelosi are also vacationing in Hawaii. Coincidence? I think not.

The 58-year-old broadcasting fathead has a long history of abusing prescription medication, plus he is considerably overweight. Add to that his never-ending anger and chest pains equal heart attack where I come from.

I know it's not nice to wish him ill, so I won't. All I'm hoping is this health scare keeps him off the air. Is that too much to ask?
