You may have missed the news this week that NASA decided to bomb the moon.Supposedly they're looking for water or ice. Didn't they already allegedly find evidence that there had been water on the moon, like an empty swimming pool or something? Do we not have enough water here on earth that they have to go looking on other celestial bodies? I would think with the ice caps melting that we would have plenty of H2O, if not this minute certainly in the near future.
There were supposed to be pictures as these spacecraft slammed into the lunar surface, but of course there weren't. I'm no scientist, but I would think if you put cameras on spacecrafts and then slam them into the moon they're liable to break. Just a guess on my part.
Now I don't know how much it cost to pull off this stunt, but the question that begs to be asked is "Why?" Do we not have enough things on earth to blow up?
Sorry, but I still maintain there is nothing quite as worthless as our 'space program' except maybe nipples on men.
