Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
Yesterday New York's Mayor Bloomberg signed into law a new bill that will make it illegal to smoke in city parks, pools, recreational areas, beaches and pedestrian promenades etc., in 90 days. However, the NYPD won't be enforcing this new regulation, probably because they have better things to do.
So one might wonder, why bother to enact a law that won't be enforcced? Apparently, Hizzoner is going to rely on peer pressure to get you to stop your disgusting habit. The number of assault cases in the city should increase accordingly.
