One Big Happy Family

Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona is going to get a cramp in her very busy bill-signing hand!

Her latest law bans ethnic studies and classes that encourage overthrowing the U.S. government. Did Arizona schools actually teach the overthrow of the government? Well, if they did, not any more!

First it was racial profiling and then punishing teachers if they had accents. Now, no more ethnic studies because we're all just one big happy family dammit!

School districts face having their state aid cut by 10% if they don't comply, but they're more than welcome to protest.

Fear of Aliens

I learned something today. The Governor of Arizona is a woman. I thought 'Jan' might have been pronounced 'Yon' and therefore Governor Brewer would have been a man.

The Governor is a bigot but I knew that. Bigotry isn't gender specific. Brewer signed a bill last week that basically legalizes racial profiling.

It's worth noting that Arizona spent years fighting the Martin Luther King holiday but ultimately lost.

The only one who seems to be more fearful of illegal aliens is Stephen Hawking. He thinks they're out there and they're coming to get us. Just like in "V."
