Jim Rice, limp wristed pussy

For some reason, former major league baseball player, Jim Rice, was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. It didn't take him long to prove that he always was, and always will be, an asshole.

He seems to be upset that franks no longer cost a nickel at Fenway and that players now make a hell of a lot more money than he ever did.

While addressing Little Leaguers yesterday (who would allow him near children anyway?) he said the following:

"You see a Manny Ramirez, you see an A-Rod, you see [Derek] Jeter ... Guys that I played against and with, these guys you're talking about cannot compare."

Rice's big mistake was lumping Yankee captain Derek Jeter in with players who 'juiced.' Derek Jeter may not be the Second Coming but he has never been tainted by scandal.

"You have these baggy uniforms, you have the dreadlocks, that's not part of the game. It was a clean game, and now they're setting a bad example for the young guys."

Obviously he's referring to Manny Ramirez with the baggy uniforms and dreadlocks remark. If he got his head out of his butt he might know the difference.

Without Steroids Would Yanks Have Wanted A-Rod?

There's something about the current scandal concerning Alex Rodriguez and his admitted use of steroids that hasn't been mentioned to my knowledge, and that has to do with the trade made for him in February of 2004.

Would the Yankees have wanted him if he hadn't been full of 'roids the previous season with the Texas Rangers? Would his statistics have been impressive enough without his use of whatever substance he actually injected?

I am thinking maybe not, because since signing with the Yankees Alex Rodriguez has proven he is not worth the multi-millions he is being paid. Except for the 2007 season when he hit 54 home runs and was voted MVP in the American League his performance in New York has been less than priceless. It's been fraudulent.

Edited to add: I have been advised that Rodriguez also won the MVP in 2005. My bad for missing that glaring error.
