Don't get me wrong. I really like Meryl Streep. Why at one point in our lives we were both pregnant and used the same obstetrician! So you might even say we're close. Or have been.
But when I saw this picture I near about turned inside out. I am assuming, or maybe I've even heard, that Meryl is in a movie posing as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. There is sort of a resemblance -- or is it just the hair?
I don't know if I will be able to watch this very fine actress in this probably very difficult role because the hair is still standing up on the back of my neck just from seeing this picture.
It's got to be an improvement over her impersonation of Julia Child. Dear God, that shrieky voice was enough to curdle your flan.
