This is Shannon Johnson. Shannon's problem was that having a baby was just way too much trouble. It sort of interfered with all the important things she had to do in her life, like waste time on Facebook. So when her thirteen month old baby needed a bath, she had a habit of sticking him in the bathtub and then getting on the computer.
Well, as will happen with unattended babies in the bathtub, he drowned last September.
She explained to the police in Colorado that little Joseph was an 'independent baby' and 'wanted to be left alone.'
Oh, really, Shannon. And how did he convey that to you? Or maybe it was just you he wanted no part of?
The only good news is that Shannon faces forty-eight years in prison. Hopefully a conviction will follow.
