Although she looks like Mrs. Claus, this is Sandra Leanne Bathke, 70 years old of Janesville, Minnesota.
In a truly heartwarming holiday story, it seems that the son of her landlady, Luke Weimert, offered to drive her to the bank to get money to pay her back rent. The only problem was instead of a withdrawal slip Ms. Bathke had a gun.
Other than the fact that Ms. Bathke went to jail, the story had a happy ending. Nobody got shot and Ms. Bathke wanted the police to know that the generous young man who drove her to the bank knew nothing of her intention to rob it. However, Mr. Weimert did have an outstanding warrant so he was arrested anyway.
