Not So Splendored

Haven't we been through this before? Like about a hundred times?

Carnival's cruise ship Splendor caught fire off the coast of Mexico and now it has to be towed to some port. Fabulous.

First off, it was sailing to the "Mexican Riviera." Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer my Rivieras without the drug cartels and drive by shootings.

So there are 4,500 people on this floating death trap. They may not have hot water or air conditioning but at least they have cold water and can flush their toilets now that the auxiliary power has kicked in. Whoop dee doo.

Why do you people persist in hopping on board these cruise ships? Either people are falling overboard or being pushed or perhaps boarded by pirates. And let's not forget about fires, tidal waves, and horrible diseases.

And what is Carnival going to give them for their shitty vacation? A voucher for another crappy seafaring experience?
