Gravity is Not Your Friend

People in New York recently seem determined to put gravity to the test.
We lost Nicole John the other night in her accidental plunge and now we have another young man, Thomas Magill, who attempted suicide by leaping from an upper west side building.
He fell 39 storeys, landed on a Dodge Charger and lived to tell the tale. In fact, he was heard screaming, "My leg! My leg!"
Those who saw him fall have different explanations for why he survived.
One man thinks he's like the character in "Unbreakable" played by Bruce Willis.
Guy McCormack, whose car broke Magill's fall, thinks the crystal rosary beads that were inside the Charger saved him.
And of course, no one who knew the 22-year-old Staten Islander has any idea why he tried to end his life.
His neighbor described him as joyful whereas Magill's Facebook page revealed he hated his life and his interests included 'being mean' and 'making fun of people.'
