Kiko is a dog who is way smarter than its 'owner.' Jerry Douthett is a Michigan man who had an infected toe and would not see a doctor.
One night when he was passed out after drinking a lot of beers and margaritas, Kiko gnawed off the infected digit, thus saving his life.
Dude found out he has Type 2 diabetes and has given up drinking.
Kiko still resides with the family, but is being observed by authorities to make sure he does not have rabies. Does that mean they think he might have gotten rabies by eating Jerry's toe?
