But It's a Dry Heat

These are the spectators for this silliness

This is without a doubt the craziest thing I have heard in a long time. And that's saying something.

Get this -- there's a contest in Finland to see who can stay in a sauna the longest. It has a name -- The World Sauna Championship. I would call it Cooking People.

Now the temperature in the sauna goes up to 230 degrees Farenheit. That's pretty damn hot.

Well guess what? A Russian man died in the finals.

Vladimir Ladyzhenskiy was pronounced dead late Saturday after he collapsed in the sauna alongside reigning champion Timo Kaukonen of Finland. Medical workers pulled both men out of the sauna and administered first aid in front of nearly 1,000 spectators in the southern Finnish town of Heinola.

This annual bake off has been going on since 1999 and because of Vlad's death it won't be held again.

So if you Finns and other sauna afficianados have nothing better to do, come watch my turkey cook on Thanksgiving.
