German pharma giant Boehringer Ingelheim wants to sell lots and lots of their new women's Viagra-ish pill so they've been trying to lay the groundwork (no pun intended) to convince women that what they need first and foremost is a pill to make them horny.
Their strategy includes a Web site, a Twitter feed, a Discovery Channel documentary and a publicity tour by Lisa Rinna, who describes herself as someone who has suffered from a disorder that Boehringer refers to as a form of female sexual dysfunction. Maybe it's all the collagen Lisa's injected into her lips that's screwed up the rest of her body. But I digress.
Well, it doesn't look as if the F.D.A. is going to approve the drug which was originally developed to fight depression but didn't work.
Side effects of flibanserin include dizziness, nausea and fatigue which are three reasons women usually give for turning down sex.
Listen, stupid greedy pharmaceutical companies. Women don't want to have sex because they're freaking tired and overworked. Can you say 'exhausted?' The last thing they want to do is take a pill that's going to increase their libido.
If men want to make their women horny, they need to lose weight, take out the garbage without being reminded, do the laundry, and learn how to vacuum.
Case closed.
