The Man Who Wasn't There

As a testimonial to the stupidity of humans, Don Draper has been voted the Most Influential Man of 2009 according to a website called AskMen.com, receiving over half a million votes.

Would that be votes from Neanderthal Men?
For those of you who aren't familiar with him, Don Draper is a fictional character on AMC's television series Mad Men. Not only doesn't he really exist, but he doesn't exist in 2009. His character inhabits the Madison Avenue of the 1950s and 1960s.
Don Draper really isn't Don Draper at all, having stolen the identity of a deceased Army buddy. He's married to Betty and has three kids. He drinks and smokes with reckless abandon and has affairs with a wide assortment of ladies.
Jon Hamm portrays the philandering ad man and an assortment of writers have made him who he is.
Unfortunately, Don won't be able to accept his award as he isn't of this world nor of this century.
