The kids are back in school (or should be shortly) where they belong, you're closing up the pool, and it's time to think about what the hell you're going to watch on television this new season. I'm only opining on the more 'traditional' networks.
NBC: These Einsteins think that viewers are going to tune in Monday through Friday at 10pm to watch Jay Leno. Seriously. Other than that, I don't see any horrendous shows on their fall line-up because really, how could you top the absurdity of five weekly hours of prime time Leno?
CBS: Not too much new on their schedule. These guys are champs at taking an idea and recycling it if it's been successful. Like NCIS now has an NCIS: Los Angeles. Don't see CSI: Miami on their schedule though, although CSI: New York is still there. Did David Caruso move?
ABC: Wow. Almost everything on their schedule is new, proving that whoever inks the contracts for their shows didn't pick any winners last time around. And probably didn't this year either. FlashForward? Modern Family? Head of the Class?
FOX: Brothers? The Cleveland Show? Glee may be watchable. We'll have to see.
Any 'Cougar' shows will fail. Vampire shows may succeed if the guys are cute enough and enough tweens tune in.
