The 7-year-old kid you see running away had just hopped out of the family car he'd stolen so that he wouldn't have to go to church. He was chased by police because, obviously, he ran a few stop signs and such since he could barely reach the pedals.
Bear in mind this took place near Salt Lake City, so isn't it likely that it was a Mormon house of worship he wanted to avoid attending?
The boy is too young to prosecute and no citations were issued, although police did urge the father to make his car keys more inaccessible to children.
How about we pass some laws making it a felony to force kids go to church?
