Some interesting obituaries in today's NY Times.

Edwin Shneidman died at the age of 92. He was an expert on suicide and suicide prevention, but oddly enough his obit does not list the cause of death. Yes, we can assume that he died of natural causes, but hmmm...maybe not.
Sheidman quote of note: “Dying is the one thing — perhaps the only thing — in life that you don’t have to do,” he once wrote. “Stick around long enough and it will be done for you.”
Daniel Carasso died at the age of 103. He was the man you needed to thank for bringing yogurt into the mainstream consciousness. As for claims that yogurt helps you live a long healthy life, 103 ain't bad.

Krishna Pattabhi Jois died at the age of 93. He was a prominent yoga teacher who led celebrities like Sting, Madonna and perhaps other one-named people, to karmic bliss.
